The health, safety, and wellbeing of our learners and staff remain a top priority at the British School of Kampala. In line with guidance from the Ministry of Health and as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment, the school is reinforcing important health and hygiene measures in response to current Ebola prevention efforts.
Prioritising health and safety
We kindly ask all parents and guardians to work closely with the school in monitoring their children’s health and supporting preventive practices both at home and on campus.
Important health guidance
To help keep our community safe:
- Learners experiencing symptoms such as cough, flu, fever, or related illness should remain at home
- Any child who becomes unwell while at school will be isolated appropriately, and parents/guardians will be contacted immediately for collection
- Families are encouraged to seek medical advice when necessary and monitor symptoms carefully
Preventive measures in school
The school continues to implement several health and safety measures, including:
🧼 Regular hand washing and use of hand sanitisers
🪟 Proper ventilation in classrooms and shared spaces
🧹 Enhanced cleaning and disinfection procedures
😷 Promotion of good hygiene and respiratory etiquette
Working together as a community
Protecting the wellbeing of our school community requires cooperation from everyone. By staying vigilant and acting responsibly, we can help maintain a healthy and supportive environment for all learners and staff.
🛡️ Together, we can keep our school safe and healthy.
We thank all parents and guardians for their continued support, understanding, and cooperation.
