The British School of Kampala community joins the world in recognising International Workers’ Day on 1st May, a day dedicated to honouring the hard work, dedication, and contributions of workers across all sectors.

Recognising the value of every role

Labour Day is a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the importance of work in shaping our communities and improving lives. From educators and support staff to healthcare workers, engineers, and countless others — every role plays a vital part in building a stronger society.

At BSK, we especially take this moment to appreciate the commitment of our staff, whose daily efforts ensure a supportive, inspiring, and high-quality learning environment for our students.

Inspiring future generations

As a school, we aim to instil in our learners a respect for all professions and an understanding of the value of responsibility, perseverance, and contribution. Days like this help students connect their learning to the wider world and recognise the impact they can make in the future.

A day of appreciation

We encourage our community to take time to acknowledge and celebrate the people whose work supports our daily lives — both within and beyond the school.

🌍 Happy Labour Day to our entire BSK community and beyond.
